Here, you can create a new sequence from scratch, where you will name your sequence, associate it with a type of outreach campaign (optional), and then choose emails and actions for this sequence.

The action types are to: a) send an email (that you will choose from all of the emails you have saved in your account); or b) wait a specified amount of time before taking another action.

If you choose to send an email, you will be able to choose from a drop-down menu of all emails in your account.

To create one or more new emails to make part of your sequence, your will first need to create the emails in the email setup screen (Related Help Doc: Creating Emais), then come back to set up your sequence.

The “wait” action is necessary so that you do not end up sending your entire outreach email sequence at once. You will likely want to wait several days between emails.

So, you could, for example, have an email send, then wait one day, then send a specific follow-up email, then wait another day, then send another follow-up email.

postaga sequence example

You can create sequences specific to different types of campaigns. So, for example, you might want to use a Link Roundup-specific email for a roundup email sequence.

Adding the sequence type will help you organize and filter sequences, should you build lots of different sequences.

Within a campaign, you can set the option to stop a campaign upon reply. That means any time a contact responds to an email in your sequence, the sequence ends and they don’t get follow-up emails.
